ACCESSIBILITY
The OSO is a fully accessible facility with trained and helpful staff who are always happy to offer assistance. There is a ramp that leads to the automatic entrance doors and the interior premises are open-plan and on one level, with access to accessible toilet facilities. We have space in our theatre for wheelchairs, and can be accommodating to those with disabilities if notified at the time of booking. The theatre is equipped with a hearing loop; please email info@osoarts.org.uk prior to your show if you require this.
Our Café and Bar has Braille menus available on request.
Ticket Subsidy Scheme
The OSO offers either a 50% or 100% subsidy on the ticket cost of activities, events and shows ranging from participation in our Youth Theatre, classes and workshops to tickets for performances, most notably our annual pantomime.
The scheme supports around 300 local residents a year, primarily children and young families, and also people with disabilities through offering a subsidy for an accompanying carer. The OSO handles requests and provides tickets in a discreet manner so that the recipients are indistinguishable from other attendees.
The Ticket Subsidy Scheme is generously supported by the Barnes Bowling Club.
Activity Station
We collaborate with Activity Station to provide a full programme of fun and exciting activities for people with disabilities. Activity Station brings accessible and inclusive events to people across different age groups, covering a wide range of interests including drama, music and art. These events usually happen on the last Sunday of each month.
FiSH Theatre Friends
FiSH Neighbourhood Care offer a buddy theatre scheme for certain performances of our productions. Your buddy will pick you up, watch the show with you and ensure you get home safely. Please check with FiSH about availability prior to booking tickets
