HISTORY OF THE OSO

25 years of theatre...

I love the OSO.

I knew it when it was still an Old Sorting Office back in the 1980s and then, because my children were involved in the Barnes Youth Theatre, I got to know the extraordinary Anne Carroll and the incredible Coeks Gordon, and when they founded the OSO they asked me and my wife Michele to help with funds & fundraising.   So we were here right at the beginning of the OSO adventure.  Since then I’ve appeared here a few times and been in the audience often - it’s a very special place and it's been wonderful to watch it develop and grow into an incredible creative hub at the heart of our community right here by Barnes Pond.  The coffee’s ace as well.

Here you’ll find a few highlights from our first 25 years.  We can look back with pride and look ahead with excitement.   I reckon the best is yet to come.
