The OSO Arts Centre is a registered charity, under the name of Barnes Community Arts Centre (charity no: 1150658) We rely on the generosity of our donors, without whom we would not be able to carry on offering high-quality theatre.  

 

We also support (or have supported) a number of local community initiatives. These include: 

 

• Providing free tickets to FiSH (a neighbourhood care organisation which helps those who may feel isolated and lonely, especially older members, from the local area), those on low incomes, and carers

• Providing U18 work experience in conjunction with the Duke of Edinburgh scheme 

• Assisting several local clubs/societies as well as local festivals/events 

• Assisting local schools with fundraising 

• Regularly hosting Activity Station, a local charity which organises fun and exciting activities for those with disabilities in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and beyond

• Providing NHS staff and charity workers with discounted and free tickets via the Tickets for Good and the Ticket Bank schemes

• During Covid-19, providing and delivering approximately 10,000 cooked meals, via the OSO Crisis Kitchen, to those in need in the local community 

• During Covid-19, running a foodbank during which approximately 10 tons of food were collected

• During Winter 2022/23 providing cooked meals and a warm and welcoming community space, as part of Richmond Council’s Cost of Living Fund, to those struggling during the Cost of Living crisis
