The OSO is licensed to hold civil ceremonies including: 
 

• Marriage and civil partnership ceremonies 

• Naming ceremonies

• Renewal of vows ceremonies

• Conversion of civil partnership to marriage ceremonies 

• Naming ceremonies

• Citizenship ceremonies 

 

Located on Barnes Green with views of Barnes Pond, the OSO, a professional fringe theatre and Cafe-Bar, is a stunning and original location for your civil ceremony with fully disabled access. As a theatre, we definitely know how to stage truly memorable events!  We have a large, flexible theatre space which can accommodate up to 130 guests; for intimate ceremonies we can offer a smaller space. The walls are covered in full-length red velvet drapes, creating a warm and atmospheric effect. If you would like your ceremony to be quite theatrical we can even offer you full lighting and sound rig in the theatre. After your ceremony you and your guests can go straight through to our Bar area for drinks and if the weather is good, you can drift straight out onto Barnes Green.  

 

Our unique location means that you’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to your photos: including on Barnes Green, by beautiful Barnes Pond (along with our resident swans), on the bridge over Beverley Brook or under its willow trees (or all four!). 

 

The OSO is a charity so by booking your ceremony with us, you’ll also be promoting a local charity that supports the local community as well as bringing high-quality shows to the area. 

 

For smaller parties, we can also split the space so that you can have the ceremony and celebration all in the same location.
